An Integrated Curriculum

At Green Valley there is a strong belief that learning takes place when the learner discovers facts and ideas rather than being taught. This being the information era and the highway to the revolution of knowledge is self learning. To this end a lot of emphasis is placed on training across all stages in the school as well as across the curricula’s.

Our evolution system is also broad based. We understand that examinations are not only the way to access a student. Formative assessment is the norm. Assingments, projects, worksheets, Presentations, collective activities, unit test and end of term exams are the tools through which the performance of a student is analysed. An integrated curriculum is defined as education that is organized in such a way that it cuts across subject-matter lines, bringing together various aspects of the curriculum into meaningful association to focus upon broad areas of study. It views learning and teaching in a holistic way and reflects the real world which is interactive here in green valley innovative educators concerned with improving student achievement are seeking ways to create rigorous relevant and engaging curriculum.
